Subject: [DailyDialogue #228] Soul Disconnection
"People say we create our own reality. That's not true. We do not create our reality, but we do create our experience."
-- Mary Manin Morrisey
Conversations with several people last week revealed that many of us are sharing a perception of overload: too many demands and too little time. Mary Morrisey offers the following diagnostic quiz for "Signs of Soul Disconnection."
1. Do you frequently feel rushed?
2. Do you have difficulty making decisions with so many choices?
3. Do you ever feel bombarded with information?
4. Are you experiencing stagnation in your relationship with yourself?
5. Are you experiencing a decreased ability to love?
It makes sense that we could easily fall into soul disconnection. Many of us live in environments that are overstimulating with input, interactions, and choices. We have an unprecedented access to information, but paradoxically want for wisdom to live and love easily.
Experiment: Go on a media fast. Unplug the TV and put away the newspapers and magazines for a week.
Affirmation: We are asking for guidance from our inner wisdom and waiting quietly for answers.
