Subject: [DailyDialogue #211]More On Humor
A woman called and said, "I need to fly to Pepsi-cola on one of
those computer planes." Do you mean, "Pensacola on a commuter plane?" I asked. "Yeah, whatever," she said.
Original author unknown, from Doyle Banks, via the internet Eddy, I liked what you wrote about humor and relating this week. And I want to listen to all of your Swami Beyondanda tapes. It was en-lightening meeting him in person. He pokes clever fun at new agers and the establishment alike.
I was thinking today that we have a lot of humor in our relationship. Although we're not the best at remembering canned jokes, we use our humor in different ways: like punning and word games, acting like stereotyped people, making up funny stories, and looking for the lighter side of things.
Thanks for humoring me with your funny bones.
Experiment: Don't worry, be whacky.
Affirmation: Mirth is nearly everywhere we find it. The Daily Dialogue is published each day of 1998 by e-mail. Copyright 1998, Eddy Brame and Marty Crouch, All rights reserved.
