Subject: [DailyDialogue #207] Sand Twaps
When asked what he would have to know about before hitting the ball, three year old Tiger Woods recognized that he would have to know how far to hit it. When repeatedly asked what he needed to notice, he came up with answers such as:
"What about the wawa?"
"What about the sand twap?"
"Oh, the wind, Daddy, the wind."
--E. Woods, Training a Tiger
Environmental considerations are important in golf and in life. Our modern environment is full of sand twaps and wawa hazards, often not conducive to successful partnering and family life. At best, a young partnering couple today faces many environmental factors that do not favor a healthy family life. Choosing an environment that supports and enhances our partnership seems to be an important part of successful partnering.
Experiment: Dialogue about you environment (including your routine work and play activities) and consider what features to keep and what features to change.
Affirmation: We select the health-sustaining features from our environment and make an effort to change those features that are toxic.
