Subject: [DailyDialogue #129] Power
"O, it is excellentto have a giant’s strength, but it is tyrannousto use it like a giant." - William Shakespeare
One of my distinguishing qualities is that I am capable of being influential. I am able to persist in the midst of resistance. This characteristic supports me in achieving major goals in my career.
Every strength has its weakness. If I use this power to dominate or be superior, I force myself out of the relationship game. As if forced out in baseball, I am off the playing field. In actuality, I place myself in another league.
When I exercise self-control over my actions, my power can be used for good.
Experiment: Dialogue with your partner about the topic of power and how you use it to support or harm your relationships.
Affirmation: I am using my power wisely.
