"The husband who decides to surprise his wife is often very much surprised himself." - Voltaire
When I called Marty to say I was on my way home from work last night, he said "I have a surprise for you when you get home". I felt wonder and anticipation at what event or gift might await me. When I walked in the door, I was astonished and amazed to see a beautiful large bouquet of flowers. They were accompanied by a card that said, "Congratulations to my brilliant, outstanding wife for your amazing success in your job search. All my love." I was flabbergasted.
Later that evening we enjoyed very intimate moments together with a deep romantic connection. The time and effort Marty took to show me how much he cared scored many points with me. In this game of relationship, it is important for us to know how to score with our partner if we want to have a winnning team.
Experiment: Dialogue with your partner about what you might do to score some points with them.
Affirmation: I am on a winning team.
