Subject: [DailyDialogue #121] Stressed Out

"I don't know the key to success but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." -- Bill Cosby Many people, upon learning about the practice of dialogue, object that it takes too much time. A participant in one of our workshop said, "If I had a partner that mirrored everything I said, I'd find a new partner."

I often feel stressed and hurried when I'm working towards a deadline. In this situation, I resent the extra time that the dialogue process takes. I neither want listen and mirror nor even explain what's going on. I just want to get the work done so I can rest and relax.

Unfortunately, in this situation, I'm also most likely to make mistakes, have accidents, and lose things. Makes me wonder why I put myself under all this pressure?

Experiment: Take some time today to pursue something you want to do, rather than all the things you should be doing!

Affirmation: I am spending my time doing what I want to do.
