"There is nothing permanent except change." -- Heraclitus Circa 500 BC
On our ski vacation, I'm noticing a change. This morning, I awakened tired from our drive to Whistler. On the mountain, I tire quickly, even though we're skiing the easy runs. I'm grumpy all day because of feeling tired and achey. I notice myself thinking about my coming old age, no longer coming to the mountain, and other losses that I'll experience.
I think my soul-work sometimes demands that I let myself go into this funk for awhile; not be quick to start a fitness program or a blue-green algae regimen. The truth is that all of us will experience many important losses during our lifetimes. Good thing we have the dialogue process to help us with this work.
Experiment: Dialogue with your partner about an uncomfortable change that you are experiencing or on the verge of experiencing.
Affirmation: Our dialogue assists us with the letting-go that accompanies the inevitable changes in our lives.
