"I use that process almost everyday. It has become my way of expressing myself." -- Eddy Brame on yesterday's six step self-disclosure process.
As we practiced the steps to self-disclosure yesterday morning, I shared some important pent-up emotions. I find that the first three steps, "I saw or heard," "I think," and "I feel" tend to build up emotional density. The latter three steps, "I know," "I want" and "I will" help me bring my adult back on-board and take responsibility for my thinking and feelings. Your acknowledgement at the end reassures me that I you heard, understood, and respected me.
Thanks for teaching me this process and encouraging us to share with each other in this way.
