Subject: [DailyDialogue #53] Speaking about Love
"Oh Bear," said Christopher Robin, "How I do love you." A. A. Milne
I once figured that it was more important to show my love than to say it. It seemed to me that saying it was so easy that it lacked credibility; the true test of love was what I did for my beloved.
Somehow that all fell apart. After years of building a life together, my partner didn't feel loved and I didn't feel loving. I thought loving, but didn't feel loving. Now I have a theory that saying it often in 100 different ways helps keep me *feeling* love, not just thinking that I feel it.
Experiment: Find three new ways to say "I Love You" to your partner today. Ask for feedback on what makes her feel most loved.
Affirmation: We express our feelings of love. The Daily Dialogue is published each day of 1998 by e-mail. Copyright 1998, Eddy Brame and Marty Crouch, All rights reserved.
