Subject: [DailyDialogue #46] Love vs. Fear

"Most people prefer the certainty of misery to the misery of uncertainty." - Virginia Satir
How much time do you spend in fear vs. love? We often find that fear is more familiar. When we recognize the symptoms of fear, we can learn to practice returning to love.

How do I know if I am coming from fear? If you find yourself criticizing, blaming, withdrawing or numbing out, that’s fear. How do I awaken to my true essence of love? You can tell the truth about your body sensations, remember to breathe and ask yourself, “How is this familiar?” You can allow yourself to be more playful.

When we practice loving consciously, we become aware that love is what is certain. We block our experience of love by focusing on fear. Love never dies.

Experiment - Practice dialoguing with your partner about your body sensations. Share with them how this is familiar from your past. Keep breathing. After dialoguing, do something that creates belly laughs for both of you.

Affirmation - I can depend on the healing power of love.
