Subject: [DailyDialogue 37] Touch
"Many [physicians] are surprised by how natural it seems to them to sit with someone else in silence and touch them with healing intent. The most commonly made observation is that it feels like something remembered." Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D.
Just as with eye contact, our touch communicates our intentions toward each other. Touching with healing intent and mindfulness provides healing for the toucher as well as the one who is touched.
Experiment: Take time to hold each other for a few minutes before sleeping tonight.
Affirmation: Our touch communicates our loving intentions and support for each other. The Daily Dialogue is published each day of 1998 by e-mail.
