Subject: [DailyDialogue #34] Romance

"Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it. . . . It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more." - Erica Jong
On a scale of 1 to 100, what is the romance quotient in your relationship? Romance can stay alive in our relationships if we risk taking the time to treat our partner with generosity, courtesy and consideration. Love is worth the effort.

Each one of us feels loved and appreciated in different ways. We often give to our partner what we want to receive. If your relationship is more like a mystery novel than a romance adventure, is it because you don't know what really excites your partner? When we risk expressing love and affection from our heart in the way our partner most feels loved, we reap tremendous rewards.

Experiment - Dialogue with your partner about how you most feel loved. Express your love to your partner by doing something romantic like going dancing, reading love poems, playing romantic music, lighting candles, taking a bath together or saying "I love you" while making love.

Affirmation - I am giving generously to my partner today.
