Subject: [DailyDialogue #12] Truth
"You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
- John 8:32
In what ways are you creating a wall between you and your partner by withholding the truth? We tear down the wall by sharing our feelings and consequently free ourselves to love and be loved. Our partnership presents us with a golden opportunity to heal our childhood wounds.
An important first step to healing our wounds is to open our hearts to our partner. One way to do this is by telling them the truth about how we most feel loved and supported. In return, it is important that we honor our partner's requests by initiating loving contact. We express love in many ways including eye contact, touch, compliments and saying "I love you".
Experiment - Ask your partner to tell you the truth about what you can do to show them you love them today. Grant their request.
Affirmation - I am freed as I open my heart by telling the truth and expressing my love.
