In the comedy "Housesitter", Becky (Steve Martin's childhood sweetheart) rejected Steve's proposal for marriage despite his obvious love for her. In contrast, Goldie Hawn saw the potential for a good life with Steve as a loving husband. The plot thickens as Becky begins to truly appreciate Steve only when she thinks he has married Goldie.
Becky tells Steve that she sees how much he blossomed by being with a woman who appreciates his creativity. As we focus on the gratitude for what we have, our life seems to improve.
